On this day In 1964, Bob Dylan recorded the amazing 'Mr Tambourine Man' during an evening session at Columbia recording studios in New York City. The song was released on his 1965 album 'Bringing it all back home' and reached number 1 on both the official UK singles chart and the Billboard Hot 100.

Today would've been the 96th birthday of Les Paul, born Lester William Polsfuss on 9 June 1915, who became a jazz and country guitarist. His work as an innovator and inventor saw him create one of the first solid-body electric guitars in 1940. Amazingly, he only passed away two years ago in 2009, making it to a legendary 94 years of age!

Today the song 'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper topped the charts in 1984 and stayed there for two weeks. Worldwide, this song is her most famous after 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' and is known for its various covers by other artists.
