Door 11: New video from Jon Gomm

Today is a fine day in Supajam's advent calendar because one of the finest guitarists on the planet, Jon Gomm, has put out another video that shows a remarkable dexterous mastering of his craft. It's taken from his new album Secrets Nobody Keeps and is a thoughtful instrumental piece that will take you on a soothing journey if you just allow yourself to close your eyes once in a while.

When we interviewed Jon back in September he described his playing as "the very extreme limits of crazy guitar playing, some of it is next to impossible for me to get right." Despite the relaxed nature of this track Jon still demonstrates some refined double-handed fret work, percussive elements, and a menagerie of sex faces. Check it out...

If you like this, then we strongly suggest you pick up a copy of Jon's new album (or maybe one of his older ones). There are a variety of purchasing options right here. He's a totally independent artist, there isn't some sugardaddy record company funding it all for him. So please dig deep if you're a fan, and show his work off to the world.

As a bonus, here's the video that helped to elevate Jon from a cult hero among specialist guitar communities to a man who is in-demand all over the planet.

Seriously, buy an album.

Don't forget to check out Supajam's advent calendar every day in the lead up to Christmas, where will be sharing a little treat with you in celebration of Santa's birthday. There are free tickets, songs, and albums all waiting for you to go and claim, as well as other things to amuse yourself with.
