Some Kind of Leader

About The Band

Bio: Cardiff based SOME KIND OF LEADER have recently emerged onto the UK Music scene with a sound that pulls apart the rock aesthetic and twists it into something unique yet highly recognisable. Taking commanding riffs and laying them over a groove machine rhythm section, the band have a timeless swagger that explores the very edges of Rock music. Songs that morph from assured riffs to acid specked musical collages temper their kaleidoscopic leanings with soaring choruses and lyrics that tell of the trials, tribulations and small victories that drive the band.

It is this ability to explore the hypnotic power of the low end, while making a thorough connection with their audiences that has seen them build a strong fan base from scratch. Pulling apart structures to work each element of their tracks has brought them to the attention of radio stations not afraid to go against the grain. The support of Nation Radio and Brighton Radio has exposed S.K.O.L to many new fans and led to a live debut at Cardiff Barfly and subsequently the tag of ones to watch in 2010 by Cymro Newspaper.

With an album project and touring scheduled they will soon be elevated into a position where their ballsy take on alternative rock will first turn heads then send them spinning. S.K.O.L are: Ali Price (Vocals/Guitars), Leon Hartley (Guitars), Matt Blumberg (Bass and Backing vocals) and Gareth Davies (Drums).
