Actor Debbie Reynolds passes just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher

Actress Debbie Reynolds has died just days after her daughter Carrie.

It is said that Reynolds was making funeral arrangements for Carrie when she suffered a stroke.

She released a statement on Facebook on Tuesday about her daughter Carrie, writing: "Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love, Carries Mother."

Reynolds’ son Todd Fisher told the press the following statement after her death: “The last thing she said this morning was that she was very, very sad about losing Carrie and that she would like to be with her again. Fifteen minutes later she suffered a severe stroke.”

He added: “The only thing we’re taking solace in is that what she wanted to do was take care of her daughter, which is what she did best.”

Reynolds' career in Hollywood lasted 6 decades, but she was best known for iconic 60s hits like Singin' In The Rain, How The West Was Won and was nominated for an Oscar for The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
