Announcing the Black Deer Festival

Announcing the Black Deer Festival
We’re pleased to join other outlets this morning in announcing the Black Deer Festival of Americana and Country, which will have its first outing June 22nd to 24th in Eridge Park, Kent. None other than Iron and Wine will be headlining, with Passenger also on a bill that looks as tasty as the barbecue.

Yep, barbecue, because this is a fully flavoured festival where it’s not just the music that’s got an eye on the classic style of America. Alongside famed performers like Jason Isbell (formerly Drive By Truckers but now with his The 400 Unit), there will be plenty of slow cooked foods, cross Atlantic whiskey and even some bikes.

The event is going to be cashless, with digital transactions occurring via wristbands, but that’s not the most exciting thing: we’re also pleased to announce that our education wing, Supajam Education in Music and Media, will be curating their own stage. Given than SEMM have been training disadvantaged children in all aspects of the music industry this is a great chance for young people to directly implement their training, and we will be giving opportunities to… well just keep them peeled, more details will be coming soon about what we’re up to.

Adult Weekend Tier 1 Tickets are on sale now from £115 and Junior (5-17 year olds) from £45.
