Another petition to ban indigenous tradition from Glastonbury 2015 arises

Another petition to ban indigenous tradition from Glastonbury 2015 arises

After Native American headresses were banned from Glastonbury 2015 following an internet campaign last week, another has begun... And they're trying to get rid of Tipis.

"(This is a) petition to ban teepees and their use in a leisure environment," it argues on the site. "The use in festival camping fields belittles the historic Native American Indians symbolism a tee pee holds."

We're not sure whether it quite has the same furvor or significance behind it, with one of those who added their name justifying it with "Because Tipis do my head in..."

It sounds a little silly.. And no doubt it will irritate some people too. Be prepared to hear the phrase 'political correctness gone mad', shortly before complaints about 'Wintermas' and not being able to quote Rising Damp or carry golliwogs in public anymore.
