Apple drops London Apple Music Festival aka iTunes Festival

Apple drops London Apple Music Festival aka iTunes Festival
The iTunes Festival morphed into the Apple Music Festival in 2015, so there’s basically a ten year history of Apple running a large event in London… but no more. Apple have confirmed that the festival has finished.

This doesn’t mean Apple are pulling out of music, or even London, just that they’re changing focus, and Music Business Worldwide believe this will be on big one off events, streaming content and partner events like SXSW.

Last year looked to have been a success, drawing on diverse performers like The 1975 and Elton John… okay, maybe that was a bad sign.
