Arcade Fire: half of Daft Punk doesn’t like electronic music
We always imagined that Daft Punk would be big fans of modern technology and electronic music, given that they dress up as robots, but Win Butler has revealed the opposite.

Win, he of Arcade Fire and deeply misjudged PR campaign fame, was speaking on a show called Song Exploder, and he talked about working with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter on the former’s song Put Your Money On Me.

“You would think that Thomas is all about electronic music,” Win explained, “he doesn’t actually really like electronic music.” Instead Daft Punk’s Parisian studio is “one of the last vintage, 70s analogue studios” and is “amazing.”

Meanwhile the man himself is “very academic, deep and philosophical.”
