Ariana Grande made honorary Manchester citizen

Ariana Grande made honorary Manchester citizen
Ariana Grande has been unanimously declared an honorary citizen of Manchester, to thank her for the fund raiding she led in the aftermath of terror. On May 22nd this year twenty two people including children were killed after a bombing at a Grande concert. Clearly traumatised, she left to recover, but then returned as soon as she could to visit victims and headline a fundraising concert which had raised millions for the families of the victims.
Now the local council, in a meeting attended by some of those affected, has voted 100% in favour of making the pop star an honorary citizen. Council boss Richard Leese explained Ariana was:
“a young American woman for whom it would have been understandable if she never wanted to see this place again… But no – instead she, as an artist, a performer, was determined that she would not perform again until she had returned to Manchester to perform… In doing so, she brought comfort to thousands, she raised millions for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund and became the first patron of that fund. And that’s why I propose that Ariana Grande is made the first honorary citizen of the city of Manchester.”
She now is.
