Audioslave’s Chris Cornell tribute is simple but effective
Audioslave have their critics, including plenty of people who can’t see past parent bands Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine, but we liked them, and we particularly liked their tune Like A Stone. Of course Chris Cornell, the frontman of Audioslave, died recently and the remainder of the band have been paying tribute.
In Berlin, at a Prophets of Rage gig, the band members of Audioslave took to the stage and played Like A Stone, but did it as an instrumental with the microphone stood empty and spotlit. Footage is on the web, with the crowd providing vocals and, well maybe we’re just softies, but we found it a simple but highly effective tribute.
