Automatic for the People gets inevitable fancy reissue
To make a lot of money and to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its release, REM’s Automatic for the People is coming out in some fancy new formats. It’s currently sold 18 million copies, but now it’s going to sell more.
So what are you getting? A remix in the Dolby Atmos format by the original team, as well as a choice of two disc 25th Anniversary set or a four disc set which comes in a box with a large book, new photographs, extra notes and twenty unreleased demos.
Both editions will contain a gig, Live At The 40 Watt Club, their only live performance of the year.
