Bestival sees short evacuation over high winds
Bestival has been having some weather problems, and earlier today suspended performances on the main stage before evacuating the area. People were pulled back to the camp sites because of high wind and rain, but the show has now gone ahead and the Pet Shop Boys are still due to headline tonight.
Here’s some official text: “Due to current high winds and safety of all our festival-goers The Castle Stage and Ambient Forest are both temporarily closed”, Bestival wrote on Twitter… We’ll reopen the stages and areas as soon as possible. Due to high winds & for everyone’s safety the main arena is temporarily closed. Please make your way to the campsites until we reopen gates.”
The reopening has now happened.
