Big Bang Follow Up: Reason for Show Ending

Big Bang Follow Up: Reason for Show Ending
The decision to end the Big Bang Theory after a final season in 2019 seems to have been greeted mostly with relief, but one question remained: why end it?
The chap who plays Leonard, Johnny Galecki, had previously suggested he was happy with a season 12 end: “I think, at this point, everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families,” but let’s be realistic, he’s replacement.
The man the BBT couldn’t do without, however was Sheldon Cooper, i.e. Jim Parsons, and according to EW it was his desire to quit that led to the further decision to come to a close and write a big ending.
