Bon Iver to be 'wound down'

Vernon looking at other things.

If you’ve read the headline to this article and thought it sounds like financial news, sorry, we’ve not gone all economic on you. Bon Iver mainman Justin Vernon has been talking to Minnesota Public Radio, and he dropped some bad news for people who wanted to soundtrack their own cabin retreats.

As City Pages quotes, he replied to a question on what Bon Iver is doing by saying he’s “Winding it down. I look at it like a faucet. I have to turn it off and walk away from it because so much of how that music comes together is subconscious or discovering. There’s so much attention on the band, it can be distracting at times. I really feel the need to walk away from it while I still care about it. And then if I come back to it – if at all – I'll feel better about it and be renewed or something to do that.”

Any chance he goes punk in the meantime?
