Last week the Rolling Stones revealed their ticket prices, and they were pretty steep. Pop has got in on this too, with Madonna charging some large figures. So, and we never thought we’d say this, but kudos to Bon Jovi, who have insisted on a pricing policy that will let even the most highly squeezed attend: according to The Mirror, you can see Bon Jovi for £12.50 on their ‘Because We Can’ tour.
Their UK promoter explained "If we are to survive as an industry we need to move away from the elitist image of high prices and even higher secondary prices. After all rock and roll always was and always should be the music of the people and that means everyone." Which is good, assuming you believe that Bon Jovi could have commanded higher prices, and they didn’t have to be low just so people went. But we’d never think that. Your move Stones.
