The name Boy Friend isn’t really accurate, as the group are a pair of female friends who’ve made music for years and then decided to work as a duo. But that aside, Christa Palazzolo and Sarah Brown have produced music that majors in hazy atmosphere, drifting vocals and the occasional stab of darkness. Sampler track ‘Egyptian Wrinkle’ is mostly the sound of a soul adrift in heaven. The album is out now on Hell, Yes!
