Credit Crunch? Old Acts? Glastonbury Isn’t Worried

Last year’s Glastonbury Festival – a key date on the English musical calendar - took four months to sell out, and featured a set of ageing singers like Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen in headline slots. In some places the knives were out. But this year, without having announced who’s playing, the festival sold out in approximately twelve hours. It would appear the 40th anniversary Glasto is a big draw despite the oldies and the economy of recent years.
