Damon Albarn gets involved with Adele new album: 'It's a bit middle of the road'

Blur frontman Damon Albarn is part of an eclectic cast of collaborators that are helping Adele to piece together her opus. 

Joining Phil Collins, Tobias Jesso Jr, Danger Mouse, One Republic's Ryan Tedder and more, Albarn has been speaking of his involvement in the new work. Though he doesn't think his pieces will be used, he heard new music nailed on for that new album. He described it as "very middle of the road".

"Adele asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her," Albarn claimed. "I’m not a producer, so… I don’t know what is happening really. Will she use any of the stuff? I don’t think so. Let’s wait and see."

"The thing is, she’s very insecure. And she doesn’t need to be, she’s still so young."
