David Bowie prepared a number of albums to released after his death

David Bowie prepared a number of albums to released after his death

Following his tragic passing last January, many were taken aback by how beautifully orchestrated David Bowie's death seemed. With the release of 'Blackstar' just a day or two before he died, it felt like the Thin White Duke took ownership of his death.

However it seems that the orchestration goes even further as it has today been announced that Bowie had planned out a set of posthumous records before his death. Newsweek suggests he has a number of anthology records to be released, celebrating his own career, the first of which should be out in 2017.

The magazine's source said there is "a long list of unscheduled musical releases that Bowie planned before he died. The releases have been divided into eras and will not necessarily be released in chronological order".

It is unknown whether these albums will contain new material or just curated earlier works, but we're pretty ecstatic about it.
