Dead Man Band

Dead Man Band

When a band say they play their own kind of rock it can be galling if a music writer starts with a comparison, but when listening to Dead Man Band we do wonder if it’s close to what Queens of the Stone Age would have sounded like if they’d grown up in Britain and never been near a desert. Dead Man Band are far from a slavish copy, but there’s elements of Queens, just like the influence of classic seventies acts and punk are all present. What they’re not is genre chasing: the band have taken the time to mix it all up into their own sound. An eponymous EP is out now, and they’re gigging regularly in the south of Britain.
