Deftones go under the covers

Record Store Day Edition

Deftones are putting out a special something for Record Store Day: a limited to 5,000 vinyl only album. The hook is that it’s entirely comprised of covers, including plenty of 80s acts you might have expected Deftones to have no knowledge of including Duran Duran. Sade, The Smiths, The Cure are all present. The content isn’t totally new, as some have cropped up on b-sides and bonus tracks, but it’s an interesting semi-rarity.
