Ed Sheeran announces London show that seemingly confirms Glastonbury headline

Ed Sheeran has announced a show at London's O2 Arena that seemingly confirms he's filling the last headline slot at Glastonbury.

It was leaked a few weeks back and - despite being denied by both the festival and shirked by the Charming Gremlin himself - it looks like he's nailed on. The London O2 arena show takes place as part of the venue's 10th anniversary edition.

“I am really excited to be joining the celebrations for The O2’s 10th Birthday,” said Sheeran. “The O2 is such an iconic venue and has played host to some of my biggest inspirations. It’s always a privilege to play there and taking part in the 10th Birthday celebrations makes it even more special.”

This show on Thursday 22nd June 2017 leaves Sheeran open to play Glastonbury over the weekend of June 21-25th.
