Embrace’s last album – their fifth – came out in 2006. So, five years later, you’d be forgiven for thinking they’d broken up. But they haven’t, and have now told the press that they’re hard at work on the sixth. They claim to have a hundred and fifty ideas for songs, and about eight really good ones which they hope to record soon. They’re also not lacking in confidence, portraying themselves as like Elbow, a band with a critically assured body of work the general public took years to come around too. Kind of forgetting their massive selling debut.
