Emily Eavis puts Glastonbury spin off Variety Bazaar on back burner

Emily Eavis puts Glastonbury spin off Variety Bazaar on back burner
Over the last few years details of a Glastonbury spin off have been coming through: it is called Variety Bazaar, it would be smaller and more about installations, to “give some of the fringe areas of the festival more space,” as Emily Eavis put it. Michael Eavis even called it “the last big gamble of my life.”

Well it’s been put on hold for the moment, with Emily explaining why: “That is very much on the back burner for now,” she explained to Music Week. “We have another run of five years here at Worthy Farm, taking us to 2023, and we are just focusing all our efforts on that for now, but I’m always open to new projects. I just don’t quite think anything could replace Glastonbury!”

It was due to happen in 2021, so it seems fair to say it won’t be around till after the 2023 date at this point.
