Previously in their careers, Enter Shikari would have been categorised as something harder than pop. Not that pop is in any way a slur, but there’s a certain amount of hardness you’d hear in Enter…
 
Well, new single Stop The Clocks has the band going full on 2019 pop song, with some hardness only around the very edges. It’s not really a populist direction, more sneaking in amongst the lions, in costume, and winning the jungle crown regardless. 
 
It’s also a joyful, positive vibe, and here’s the meaning: “When someone is open and honest about their vulnerabilities, others can connect with them, and then all of us can feel stronger and more comfortable… It conveys the relief, warmth and freeing nature of the normalization of mental health struggles, following decades of stigmatism. A flickering flame of positivity in these difficult and regressive times.”
