If there's any music venue that the all-engrossing world of technology is yet to undress, it's Berghain. Yes, Berlin's Techno club may be the most mythical venue worldwide, and one of the crucial aspects of its legend is just how hard it is to get into the place. And over the weekend, the Netherlands' Beyond Festival decided to tap into that rich vein of mystery by setting up their own mini-Berghain.
The on-site installation, going by the name of Berghenk, essentially was a miniature spot on mock-up of the club's front door and exterior. Fans at the festival waited in line repeatedly and were denied every single time, holding onto sparse hope that one could eventually gain entry.
They essentially let zero attendees inside, played dark techno blasting from its interior and even sold tickets to those willing to pay.
Beyond Festival even offered step-by-step instructions on how to handle the Berghenk experience:
1. Stand in line
2. Get rejected
3. Go back to stand in line
4. Get refused
5. Go back to stand in line

7. Go back to stand in line
