Field Day announces Aphex Twin as 2017 headliner, his first live show in years

Aphex Twin has just been confirmed as Field Day Festival's first 2017 headliner.

June 3rd will mark Richard D. James' first live show in years, and he's set to headline The Barn, a brand new state-of-the-art indoor main stage arena, with a rare two-hour slot. Field Day describe the venue as "a gigantic hanger-like construction with a state of the art high-powered sound system and one of the most technologically advanced lighting rigs around."

Speaking about the announcement, Field Day co-founder Tom Baker says: "It's truly amazing to have Aphex Twin headline Field Day. I've been listening to him since I was 16 and he played and curated some of the first ever Eat Your Own Ears nights (the most memorable being a warehouse on Brick Lane that got closed down by the police!)"

Tickets for Field Day 2017 go on sale this Thursday via Ticketweb at 9am. Find more information here.
