Florence and the Machine go for 4 Discs

As is by now traditional with moderately popular alt acts, Florence and the Machine are releasing a new edition of their album to try and get fans to buy it again. But unlike bands who just stick one new track on, Florence is bringing out a four disc version, which makes it about palatable. The set includes acoustic versions, a live set, a live DVD, remixes, videos and an essay written by author David Vann. There’s also some sketches from Florence, who was an art student before she went into music full time, so there’s the possibility these are actually worth looking at. Which is possibly the first nice thing said about art students since the 1960s. Not something for the newcomer, but if you think it’s album of the year material, worth getting.
