With their angular hooks and slightly metallic sound, the Futureheads have dug themselves a deep niche in alt music, despite once being dropped by their record company. Now they’re taking their greatest leap into the unknown yet by recording an entirely a capella album; this means it’s just their voices, no instruments. We have to admit, we’re not convinced they can really pull this off, although perhaps it’s time for a new King’s Singers (ask your granny). Fans have been asked to help by nominating an old ‘heads track to be re-recorded in the new style, so look them up on twitter, post a message and include the track title and the @thefutureheads tag.
