Fyre Festival founder pleads guilty to fraud

Fyre Festival founder pleads guilty to fraud
You might remember Fyre Festival, the event that promised a luxury party on an island in exchange for extortionate ticket prices, then delivered a shit sandwich. Well, the founder has been in court today, charged with fraud.
Aggrieved ticket holders and bemused journalists are sinking their teeth into the financial details,  like the festival spending $160,000 on a yacht for headline act Blink 182 despite not being able to get running water onto the site. Or food. Or security, or anything working at all.
There are plenty of civil lawsuits going to try and get money, but today in court the founder of Fyre Festival, Billy McFarland, has pled guilty to fraud and faces up to forty years in the clink.
