Goldfrapp to Score Lennon Film

Goldfrapp have had an interesting career, starting off as purveyors of chilled out soundscapes, then switching to electronic glam rock, then going off into pastoral folk. Oh, and their lead singer Alison is as endearingly mad as a bag of cats. So possibly not the first choice in your mind to score a film about the youth of Beatles’ legend John Lennon; but they are. According to the band’s blog "We have written the score for a film called "Nowhere boy". It's about John Lennon as a boy… It’s truly amazing that they gave us the opportunity to do this. We are all really excited about going to Abbey Road studios”, where else? “soon to record the strings with the full orchestra." Any guesses as to what style it’s all going to be in?
