Grenfell Tower fundraiser axed because of borderline racism

Grenfell Tower fundraiser axed because of borderline racism
#CXLTURE was a fundraiser due to take place at the Trapeze Bar in Shoreditch this Thursday, aiming to raise a grand for Grenfell Tower victims by putting on some state of the art trap. Unfortunately, it was off when the venue pulled the plug.
The reason why they pulled it is borderline racism, and luckily enough documented in an email to organisers Haqiqi Events. It said: “I am the General Manaher at Trapeze. I am disappointed that I see your artwork and flyers have described that your music genres include Bashment and Trap music. Both of which were not described when we requested information about the event. These types of music are crap and we do not entertain them as they attract poor quality demographic and result in problems.”
So to the Trapeze, trap is crap and trap fans are a ‘poor quality’ demographic, by which they presumably mean a racist stereotype. To be fair to the Trapeze, that employee might have been fired, because the owners apologised, offered a new night and a doubling of the money.
