Gym Class Heroes’ Singer does Aids Record

Travis McCoy, frontman and founder member of Gym Class Heroes, is to release a single on behalf of the charity ‘Staying Alive’. This helps spread the Aids and HIV prevention message worldwide, and McCoy’s song – entitled ‘One at a Time’ – will come out on World Aids Day, with all profits going to the charity. Apparently the song’s an original work, not a poorly conceived cover version (BBC’s anti-bullying campaign, we’re looking at you.) McCoy is involved partly because a close friend of his has died of the disease. MTV will be showing a documentary charting McCoy’s trip overseas to see sufferers and aid workers on the release date.
