Helicopter crashes into gig in Glasgow

Helicopter hits pub midway through band's set.

What appeaed to be a police helicopter hit the building during Esperanza's set at The Clutha shortly after 10pm on Friday night.

Wesley Shearer was at the gig, and tweeted the following:



Jim Murphy, the shadow developement secretary, has told the BBC that there were multiple injuries and it was a "horrible, horrible scene". He then praised the "folk who were here," detailing how "everyone formed a chain of people from inside the pub to outside, and the fire brigade and everyone were here very quickly. "

Fire and rescure services arrived at the scene, with 15 engines and over 40 fire brigade staff.
