Independent venue week taking shape as You Me At Six announce Boileroom gig

You Me At Six have announced that they will play a rare, intimate gig as part of Independent Venue Week at intimate venue, The Boileroom in Guildford on January 30th.

In an effort to pay homage to the small indie venues that helped to support them on their journey to stadium success, the group will return to the 300 capacity venue for one night only. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday the 21st here.

If this doesn't take your fancy, then an aspect of Independent Venue Week will. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England, Independent Venue Week is a 7 day long series of gigs running from 26th January – 1st February 2014.

At least 85 venues will be participating with shows across the 7 nights some of which are being curated by a growing number of prestigious industry partners.

This year, these include BBC Introducing, Xfm, Communion, The 405, Rough Trade, 13 Artists, Noisey, Fierce Panda and Huw Stevens (Waiting on Boiler Room/Royal Albert Hall/ Elastic Artists, War This is Fake DIY child, Island Records Domino Records).

Also curating a night is Xtra Mile, Frank Turner's label and Frank will be headlining a special show for IVW at 93 Feet East where he played his first ever gig.
