Kid A was the experimental album that for many people marked Radiohead’s turn into legendary status, and for others was when they stopped being any good. Two decades later, and that schism has never healed, while just typing the words two decades makes me feel very, very old indeed because Kid A surely didn’t come out that long ago…
To celebrate the transformation / end of Radiohead’s career, here is Idioteque, a song which quite easily could be released tomorrow and still sound futuristic, relevant, alien and doomed.
