Jack White donates $200,000 to preserve music

The US Congress has created a charity to help libraries and other collections to preserve music which might otherwise be lost to time, rubbish skips and generations forgetting. This National Recording Preservation Foundation has Jack White on its Board of Directors, and he’s become their first donor by giving $200,000. This will be used to kickstart the practical parts of the project. The hope is others will follow with their cash.
