Jake Shears releases future disco classic
Former Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears is working on a new album, and he’s released a track from it: Do The Television. Originally started ten years ago but rewritten from the roots now, it’s inspired by Bowie and Richie and sees Jake in full on disco banger mode.
Shears said of the song, “One of my favourite things about ‘Do The Television’ is its progression from feeling chilly and removed to warmth and abandon – ending in a very different place than where it starts… It’s about language and the loss of meaning, changing symbols, forgotten history and following the loudest voice in the room.”
Or just dancing under a glitter ball.
