Jennifer Lopez recording Orlando charity tribute song

It has been almost a month since the tragic Orlando disaster.

Omar Mateen committed a mass shooting inside the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando, which resulted in 49 people being killed and 53 wounded. The tragedy was so shocking and impactful for the public that many are still paying their respects to this day. And today Jennifer Lopez & Lin-Manuel Miranda have paid tributes.

On Monday morning, Lin-Manuel Miranda posted on Twitter teasing his collaboration with Jennifer Lopez writing, “I have a treat for you at noon. A taste of some new music you don’t need tickets to hear.”. Soon after he then showed behind the scenes clip showing himself and Lopez in the recording studio.

The song is being called ‘Love Make the World Go Round’ which will be a charity song that will fundraise for an Orlando charity to will benefit the victims of the mass shooting. The money will go to Somos Orlando, a non-profit organization that seeks to “address the long-term needs for mental health services that are culturally competent and bilingual.”
