Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May mock Chris Evans' 'doing a Top Gear' comment in tweets

James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson have mocked Radio 2's Chris Evans after he tweeted that he'd be "doing a Top Gear" last week.

Evans spoke on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch yesterday, saying: ''We're making a Top Gear - we're doing a Top Gear sequence with an independent production company and we're going to see how it goes.''

Hydra, the three-headed Top Gear beast then took to Twitter to mock Evans, who is the touted replacement for Jeremy Clarkson, who was recently fired for punching the programme's producer.

The BBC are said to be working on a guest host type system for Top Gear in a new series, and are trying to persuade May and Hammond to stay with humungous amounts of money.
