Kanye wasn't invited to play Trump's inauguration due to his music not being 'traditionally American

Despite making his bed by controversially meeting President-Elect Donald Trump, Kanye West was probably the only artist not invited to play at his inauguration.

The reason for this, according to the head of Trump's inauguration committee, Tom Barrack is that his music is not "traditionally American."

“We haven’t asked him,” Barrack said. “He considers himself a friend of the President-elect, but it’s not the venue. The venue we have for entertainment is filled out, it’s perfect, it’s going to be typically and traditionally American, and Kanye is a great guy but we just haven’t asked him to perform. We move on with our agenda.”

With reports suggesting that Michael Flatley and his Lord of the Dance troupe are booked in for tomorrow's set, we think we know what that statement really means...
