Know a child who wants free lessons in Foo Fighters tunes?
The Foo Fighters have forged a connection with a music school called Rocksteady, and the result is a series of free workshops for children across the UK. If you’re aged between 5 and 16 you can just turn up and the idea is you’ll be taught a riff or beat even if you have zero musical experience.
These free events will be in Birmingham, Bristol, Guildford, Kingston, Leeds, Manchester, Northampton, Nottingham, Portsmouth, and Romford. There’s more details here: https://rocksteady.today/
Here’s the head of the school, Rocksteady boss Scott Monks: “If you can help a young person feel like a rockstar for a day you can inspire them into a lifelong love of making music and you can’t get much more inspirational than the Foos!” And here’s Dave Grohl: “Watching my kids start to play music and learn to sing or play drums, it brings me back to the time when I was their age listening to albums, learning from listening.”
