LCD Soundsystem cancel tour, but it ain't bad: It's to make a new album

LCD Soundsystem have shattered hearts of fans in Australia today by cancelling their forthcoming tour across the regions.

However, it's not all bad news: they're doing so so that they can focus on a brand new album. It would be their first since 2010's 'This Is Happening'.

In a statement posted to Facebook (see in full below), Hong Kong’s Clockenflap Festival said that the group pulled out of playing their event, as well as an Australian tour that hadn't yet been announced, because of "studio scheduling conflicts related to their new album".

"LCD Soundsystem have had to cancel their upcoming Asian & Australian tour at the end of the year, now including their appearance at Clockenflap 2016," the festival wrote. "We are as disappointed as you are with this news. We wish them all the best with their recording and look forward to welcoming them to Hong Kong at another time."

James Murphy and the group are yet to comment on the suggestions. However, read about how good they were at Glastonbury through our eyes here, just in case you didn't know what you were missing out on, Asia and Australia.
