Labyrinth is coming to the stage

Labyrinth is coming to the stage
Labyrinth is often remembered for David Bowie’s performance as Jareth, the Goblin King who looked nothing like a goblin but everything like a king, but there was also an army of Jim Henson puppets. Bowie is sadly gone, but Jim’s puppets survive and the movie is being adapted into a creature heavy stage play.
Jim’s son Brian is involved in this transformation from movie to stage, and London’s West End has been mentioned as a possible home. Indeed “it will be a stage show, a big theatrical version. It’s very exciting.” Colour us interested.
Furthermore, work on the sequel is continuing: “We’re still excited about the idea of a sequel,” Brian said. “We are working on something, but nothing that’s close enough to say it’s about to be in pre-production or anything like that.” Anyone want to play a young Bowie?
