Latest figures in ratings battle between Nick Grimshaw and Chris Evans released

The latest figures between the BBC Radio One vs BBC Radio Two showdown have been released, and it's not loooking good for Nick Grimshaw.

Evans has clocked in with a station best of 9.91 million listeners a week, whilst Grimshaw is 4 million behind with 5.97.

In other news, 6 Music figures have tripled with 1.89m tuning in to the digital-only station over the last quarter - yay, Radio 4 has lost 500,000 listeners, but has figures of 10.53 million. 

Director of BBC radio Helen Boaden commented: “The Radio 2 breakfast show is unlike anything else on radio with great music, news, sports updates and Pause for Thought alongside features like the 500 Words children’s writing competition, and shows that utterly distinctive, high-quality programmes can also attract large audiences.”
