Legendary Brighton's Rounder Records to close

Rounder Records will shut for the very last time at the end of this month.

In the wake of what has been another remarkable year in the industry with yet another boom in the sales of vinyl, after forty six years with their doors open, Rounder Records will shut for the very last time at the end of this month. Here is owner Phil Barton's heartfelt statement:

"The Shop and the staff have always striven to be the best. We are not able to deliver the best anymore and with the deepest regret I have to close the doors at the end of July. Rounder has been part of my life, and my loyal staff's lives for so long that having to close is a very bitter pill to swallow. We tried everything to stay open, but the basic economics were killing us."

It will be sorely missed by everybody here at SupaJam, and remember folks - support your local record shop.
