Lil Wayne reveals that in prison he officiated a same-sex marriage

Rapper Lil Wayne has revealed that, when he was in prison, he officiated a same-sex marriage ceremony.

During his eight-month 2010 sentence at New York's infamous Rikers' Island Prison for gun charges, he maintained a diary that is being released as a memoir entitlted Gone 'Til November.

In places Wayne describes "playfully" officiating a ceremony between two inmates, before decorating a hall in the prison with toilet paper and bottles of Gatorade. He refers to the American energy drink's status behind bars as "liquid gold in this bitch. Imagine seeing grown-ass men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations. AND one of them is Lil Wayne. Crazy.”

Gone 'Til November is out on October 11th.
