Live Review: The Wytches

Live Review: The Wytches
The 4 piece band from Peterborough took centre stage at the Tunbridge Wells Forum last Sunday, the 9th april. The 250 capacity venue was full of people ready to hear their favourite surf rock band. Main support was none other than Leeds based band “Weirds” and after an amazing set full of distortion, psychedelic synthesizers and screaming vocals the crowd was well and truly warmed up for the Wytches.

The room was lit with energy and you could feel something special was going to happen. As the lights lowered the energy rose and with a scream of feedback the room went crazy, mosh pits erupted as the Wytches opened with their song “Darker”  and carried on to play such songs as Crying Clown, Gravedweller and Wireframe Mattress, from their 2014 album Annabel Dream Reader.

The 45 minute set was ended with loud shrieking distorted guitars, drum solos and throbbing bass guitar. The Wytches at the Tunbridge Wells Forum truly was a gig to remember.
