Magnetic Fields man to release Obscurities

Taking you back...

The Magnetic Fields cult album ’69 Love Songs’ is one of those collections you really have to hear at least once. And if you fall in love with it (there are indeed sixty-nine tracks, taking you across a whole range of love based emotions), then you might want to check out mainman Stephin Merritt’s early work. That’s going to be a whole lot easier now, as he’s releasing a fourteen track collection of material which pre-dates 69, including five unreleased tracks, three of which come from a sci-fi musical written with Lemony Snickett. I did just write that. You can buy it October 10th.
