Matty Healy is pretty arrogant in new quotes
Matty Healy, frontman of the 1975 and NME frottage hero, has been giving interviews ahead of a new album and wow, he’s arrogant. He was talking to Billboard about his band and said “There are no big bands who are doing anything as interesting as us right now,” and in reference to Reading, “Tell me dudes with guitars who are more relevant to do that slot.” That’s pretty bold given his bland, boring catalogue.
He also credits being in the 1975 for helping cure his drug addiction: being in “one of the most divisive, exciting bands in the world to make me stop doing drugs for a little bit at a time.”
What fucking delusion.
